Kyle Vail, a young professional and family man, from Rockford, Illinois is running for a seat on the Winnebago County Board District 16. He is running on new leadership and less dysfunction and strong support for Public Safety.

 

He graduated from Guilford High School in 2006.  He then attended Rockford Valley Community College and transferred to Northern Illinois University, in which he graduated in 2012. He is a young professional that has worked in Government Sales for the majority of his career.  Kyle and Libby Hurder (Fiancé) welcomed their beautiful baby girl, Oaklee, on May 11, 2019. As if raising a newborn, working in sales and running for County Board wasn’t enough, Libby and Kyle are also planning their wedding for April, 2020.

 

Right after high school, Kyle joined the United States Army and received a Certificate in Intelligence operations, as he was trained as a Human Intelligence Collector (35M). Unfortunately, he was medically discharged due to a medical injury which occurred during a training exercise while on active duty.

 

When Kyle came back home, he used his GI bill along with the Illinois Veterans Grant, as well The Post 9/11 Bill, to attend RVC and NIU. He received his Associates in Arts from RVC, then received his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration. After college he started his career path working for Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Cintas, both located in Rockford, IL.

 

Kyle’s main professional experience is working in government sales and dealing with government contracts. He started working in government sales for SupplyCore, Inc, as their North Central Government Account Manager, in which he was with them for just shy of five years. He worked with various government agencies to adopt a procurement service and contract for a specific purchasing process.  This allowed the agencies to get the exact items they wanted and needed with a commercially competitive price and delivery period.

 

Kyle left SupplyCore and took a promotion to Government Sales Specialist- Central United States for Kardex Remstar. He now works with Local, State, Federal and Military customers throughout 19 states in order to help improve and increase their storage solutions. He maintains growth and customer satisfaction through leading, training and consulting with his dealers and customer network. With this experience, Kyle has a vast knowledge in the procurement processes and policies for many county governments and can bring this experience to Winnebago County as an additional resource.
